Petersfield Tomorrow – next stages of work
The response to the Petersfield Tomorrow Questionnaire, distributed earlier this year, was very encouraging and has clearly highlighted the most serious concerns of the people of Petersfield about the future of the town. I have attached a brief summary for your information. We have the full results, if you are interested, which can be obtained from Linda Boatswain, tel. 01730 301710 or email email@example.com
It is now time to take stock of all the work done so far in registering awareness of these issues and to determine an action plan on how best to take the work forward.
Our initial thoughts are to prioritise the following –
• Preserving the natural environment
• Preserving the character of Petersfield by preparing a Design Statement
• Developing the availability of Local Products
• Improving Public Transport
We also want to launch formally the Petersfield Town Partnership which will oversee this work and provide the basis to attract future funding.
Your continued input and involvement at this stage would be greatly valued and I would like to invite you to an Open Meeting in the Rose Room, Festival Hall on the 11th September 2006 at 7pm when we would hope to identify the most pressing issues and draw up an action plan for specific projects. This would enable groups to be set up to take these projects forward. We very much hope that you might wish to be involved in one of these or in some other way that would support the work.
I hope to meet you on 11 September, but if you are unable to attend or wish to get in touch, please do so – tel. 01730 269533 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Chairman, Petersfield Tomorrow
