Welcome to The Petersfield Town Partnership
Petersfield Town Partnership
The Petersfield Town Partnership (Petersfield Tomorrow) was launched at a public meeting on Monday 30th October 2006. The formation of the Partnership is necessary to achieve external funding for the Projects identified as a result of the public consultation. The work of the Partnership can be accessed using the links in the sidebar of this page.
" By 2015, Petersfield will be the western hub for the South Downs National Park: where people of all ages want to live, work and visit; that respects its character and heritage; manages and maintains its public facilities and infrastructure to a high standard and ensures that all its residents have access to its services and amenities."

Support for Lavant Street
Petersfield Tomorrow's application for funding from SEEDA to support Lavant Street was successful and with matched funding from EHDC, HCC a project has been initiated that includes signage at access from Bakery Lane and Hobbs Lane, , 1:1 retail support to individual businesses, footway repairs and an additional Map Board (in the Swan Street Car Park). Contracts have been placed for the projects and some will be implemented before the end of January 2012. The repairs to the footways on both sides of the Street are completed. The signage under the arches to Hobbs Lane and Bakery Lane is now placed. (If only people would cease flyposting on the railings!)
Petersfield Tomorrow attended a meeting in January 2013 to consider issues and ideas to improve this important gateway into the Town. The 3 Councils and the SDNP are working together to identify and achieve the funding to realise these aspirations. It will take time but it is going to happen.
The Community Garden now has been achieved (April 2012) and the project team deserve great credit for their considerable efforts.
Petersfield Neighbourhood Plan
Our Transport, Movement and Public Realm Group are working with the Town Council's Neighbourhood Plan Group to deliver this most important Plan.
The Plan must fit with the SDNP/EHDC Joint Core Strategy which is expected to complete its Public Examination in May 2014.
Petersfield Biodiversity Action Plan
Our Biodiversity Group has published the Biodiversity Action Plan for Petersfield and would welcome comment and support. We are very grateful to WordBlink, www.wordblink.com, for proofreading the document for us.
