Petersfield - Branding

Petersfield is a market town in East Hampshire, South East England. The Town is situated on the northern slopes of the South Downs, wholly within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, soon to be part of the South Downs National Park.

Petersfield Tomorrow has been looking at how to enhance the Petersfield experience for visitors, thereby increasing the economic return from the tourism market. Research shows that Petersfield suffers from a lack of a distinct identity, and the promotional material available has no consistent theme or message.

Why Brand?

  • To make Petersfield distinct from other destinations and promote its unique selling points
  • To provide a visual identity for the town that references it to the South Downs
  • To provide coherency and consistency to enable the town to sell itself as a destination

The way we talk and the words we choose help us tell our story and convey our message. Our tone of voice is a basic element and is as important as the colours and the images we use.

Please see the branding guidelines document that explains the thinking behind the branding and gives specific guidance on its use.

The document includes logos suitable for both web use and printing.
