Our Vision
"By 2015, Petersfield will be the western hub for the South Downs National Park: where people of all ages want to live, work and visit; that respects its character and heritage; manages and maintains its public facilities and infrastructure to a high standard and ensures that all its residents have access to its services and amenities." Petersfield Tomorrow February 2006 |

Our Direction
After the AGM on 15 March 3 new community projects were launched: Terena Plowright (Greening Campaign) gave a presentation on how Petersfield will adapt to Climate Change and Tracy Chandler highlighted Biodiversity. The Community Adaptation Toolkit Conference is being held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre London on Tuesday 20th July 2010. This groundbreaking conference, with top UK speakers coming together to link with business, councils and communities, to help explain the risks and identify opportunities for our futures. The conference will focus on three pillars of ‘Adaptation’ If you can help us please get in touch. |

The Biodiversity Group has held several meetings and we are on our way. |

The Hidden Britain Group is working with Hidden Britain South East to increase the prominence of Petersfield not least in its role as a hub for the South Downs National Park. We have recently been awarded funding from East Hampshire District Council and Collabor8 to implement its ongoing projects: Map Boards; Tourist Leaflet; Map Pads; Petersfield Website. The Group is close to completing the detailed work necessary for the contracts to be placed. The Map Boardsand Tourist Leaflet are done. The Map Pads and Visit Petersfield website are expected to complete in July. |

The Hidden Britain Group show off the new Map Board opposite the Railway Station. On close inspection you will see the Branding Logo and a distant view of the Tourist Leaflet. The Group is very indebted to the support they have received from James Turner of Hidden Britain South East throughout the project process. |

Please see an introduction to the branding that has been done and the Branding Document that explains in detail how to make best use of the branding. |
| Please see the first draft of the Tourism Leaflet. | The final version has been printed and is available from the TIC, the Town Council, and more outlets. |
Most of the 39 Parishes in East Hampshire are involved in the community planning process and the Autumn 2009 Newsletter Issue 1 allows the community planning groups to share progress. Our Town Design Statement is a very significant 'step up' from a Parish Plan and Petersfield is one of the first Towns to complete a TDS. |
|
The Town Character Group have worked hard for some years now to produce The Town Design Statement. The document has completed its final consultation and was adopted the Community Forum (Petersfield) on 6th July 2010. |

| The Petersfield Town Partnership (the formal name of Petersfield Tomorrow) was launched at a public meeiing at the Community Centre on Monday 30th October 2006. The formation of the Partnership is necessary to achieve external funding for the Projects identified as a result of the public consultation. The work of the Partnership can be accessed using the links in the sidebar of this page. | |
